Unfinished Poem

Okay, this is a really depressing poem I wrote when I was bored. I needed something to do. I was hoping to just get a little feedback on how you think it's going... I don't really expect anyone to read this. Please don't judge me through this poem but if you do, I probably won't really care.

~~~~
A hurting heart
And dreadful wishes
A broken love
And deathly kisses
Take my hand
And pull me away
And help me keep
Happy thoughts at bay
Darkened whispers
Cover screams
Demonic rumors
Murder my dreams
I thought you said
We'd be together
Holding hands
With each over forever
As you walk
Away from me
You might not hear
My begging plea
You walk away
And leave me alone
Hurting me like
A cut to the bone
Tears stream down
My cold blank face
My heart is now
In an icey case
Push me down
And hold me there
This pain is more
Then I can bare
Down on my knees
Now covered in mud
I dropped my knife
Now covered in blood
A pulsing bruise
A brand new scar
It hurts so much
When you're so far
Painful wounds
From things you said
Watch my blood
As it stains my bed
I now know I
Was a toy to be used
So hear I lay
Lonely and abused
Highschool Expectations
I don't expect too much out of highschool. I expect to learn about things that I won't care about later in life. I'll learn what I hate, what I like. What I'm good at and what I'm terrible at. Get some new skills, lose some old ones. All highschool is it force-feeding random information into a kid's brain and hoping they'll memorize it and not forget it five years down the road like I'm sure most people do. The only thing I do expect out of highschool is to learn that schools sugar coat everything and that once you're out, nobody but your family cares.
On a matter of expecting to learn anything... I expect to learn things about history I won't ever think about again for the rest of my life. Learn things about science I probably won't ever be able to apply after school is out. Learn that our language is the most difficult of them all and that we've messed up every other language with it. And some basic math skills that still, might not be used again. All depends on the profession you choose to which is most important. I expect to learn that there are tough times, there are fun times, and there are times where it's just too much. I'm sure I'll watch someone drop out, or see someone sky-rocket to the top of it all. It's all something to expect with highschool.
Poetry Outloud
I chose my poem because I thought it'd be something funny. Although now that I know we're doing a contest on it it'll be a lot harder not to laugh while trying to recite it. I don't exactly have a connect to this poem, except at the end, because that seems to happen to my friends and family a lot due to my little sister. She seems to have a thing for hitting guys there... Anyway, the real and only reason I picked this song was because I thought everyone would get a good laugh out of it.
My preporation is really lacking and I have to work at it... I have the poem memorized already, although it's kind of hard to remember. As for trying to say it with feeling, that isn't coming along so well.. To me, my poem means that sometimes you have to hurt someone to help them. I'm not sure it's how the poem is suppose to come out as, but that's my probably terrible interpritation.
The Movie
Okay so I haven't read TKM in over a year so I can't exactly remember what happened everywhere and how I thought scenes looked. Although I somewhat remember what my favorite scene was suppose to look like, and it was portrayed almost perfectly in the movie. The scene were Boo is finally revealed is my favorite, because honestly Boo is my favorite character.
In the movie, I think it was acted out perfectly... Except when Boo is revealed, I think they tried to make him seem too afraid. It also bugged me because Boo never talked! Otherwises, the scenes played out perfectly as I remember it written and I loved the actors. I wish they would make a new updated movie though!
Changed...
Okay, this book didn't really change my life but it made me think differently for a while. I read To Kill A Mockingbird in 8th grade and honestly it's one of my favorite stories. It teaches a lot of life long lessons that can be used all throughout your life, like working towards something even if you don't think you'll succeed, plus a lot more. This book gave more insight on racism and how life use to be unfair to those of different culture then 'Americans'. To Kill A Mockingbird gave me a more open mind to things and taught me to work towards a goal no matter what the outcome seems to be...
